The Role
We are seeking a civil engineering professional who is either a degree-qualified Engineer or an experienced Senior Technician with a proven track record. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects, mentor others, and deliver high-quality design solutions. Typically, this person will have around 4-7 years of consultancy experience and would be joining our technical team of 30 + people; they would be working in our Civils Team and would be based in the Liverpool Office.
We work on a diverse range of projects including those in healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential and education with project values of up to £100m and more.
We are well known locally for working on projects like the Royal Albert Dock, Royal Liver Building, Paddington Knowledge Quarter, the former Littlewoods Edge Lane Building and the exciting emerging masterplans across both Liverpool and the Wirral regions. The Civil Engineering team supports development with highways, drainage, flood risk, earthworks and technical masterplanning amongst other elements.
The Right Fit
You will have experience of leading and managing some projects as well as delivering on design from concept to construction. Your experience should include all or some to an advanced level of the design elements the Civil Engineering team delivers. We welcome applications from Chartered Engineers, as well as those on the pathway to Chartership who can demonstrate a clear commitment and plan for achieving it.
Required experience includes:
- Planning applications, such as drainage strategies.
- S278 works (minor and major)
- AutoCAD Software
- Knowledge of technical approval processes such as S278, S104 and S38 etc.
- Liaison and engagement with stakeholders
Desirable experience includes:
- Flood Risk Assessments
- Civil 3D
- Hydraulic Design Software (we use Causeway Flow)
- Residential housing estate design
