The Role
We are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join our team in the Isle of Man.
You will be working with colleagues on different projects and learning new things pretty much straight away. We like to keep people involved in projects from start to finish, so you will get to see how design progresses from concept through to detail and onto construction. You get to see your designs come to life, piece by piece and step by step.
A lot of your work will be design based, but you will also have some involvement in the management side of projects. There is also an opportunity for you to get involved in some wider things such as STEM work, charity support and other community-based activities.
The role will include exposure to:
• Structural engineering: analysis and design of structures in structural steel, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry
• Civil Engineering: analysis and design of drainage and highways
• Using innovative industry design packages such as; Revit, Civils 3D, Tekla, Robot, MicroDrainage.
• As engineers we have a responsibility to create sustainable engineering solutions and be innovative in the design and repurpose of spaces in our communities so you will learn about measuring and reducing carbon in engineering.
• Working with our other engineering specialist teams, such as Transport planning, Environmental & Principal design to understand how our design is fully coordinated
The Right Fit
Civil or structural engineering Graduate (or equivalent) who will be actively working under a recognised professional Institution training pathway.
Above all the right fit will be guided by what is right when making decisions, who recognises the contribution of others and shares their successes. Someone who is kind, conscientious and has pride in their work and the legacy our profession leaves for everyone.
