The Role
You will be working under the supervision of Engineers and Technicians in the production of drawing information using both AutoCAD and REVIT platforms.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering production information within defined project timescales
- Delivering a variety of drawing information including, but not limited to GA’s, Sections, RC Detailing, Drainage and Structures.
- Assisting Engineers and Technicians in delivering design projects
- Managing and co-ordinating electronic filing structures for CAD drawings and REVIT models
- Liaising with other construction professionals in the development of drawing information
- Working within company BIM protocols and standards
- Working within company CAD standards

Level
This is a Level 4 Apprenticeship. On completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have satisfied the requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician by the relevant professional engineering institution in accordance with the requirements of the Engineering Council as the registration body.
Entry Requirements
Minimum 4 GCSEs at Grades A*-C/4-9 including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent.
A BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or 2 “A” Levels in a relevant subject such as Maths and Science.
Alternative qualifications may also be considered.
Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to have achieved this before taking the end point assessment. This is a mandatory component of the apprenticeship standard.
Duration
The duration of this apprenticeship is typically 36 months. The Apprentice will attend College on a day-release basis. Curtins will provide practical work-based experience, on-the-job training and mentor support for the duration of the Apprenticeship.
