Joining Curtins means more than just being involved in project delivery – it means becoming part of a warm and welcoming team, where your skills can evolve, your career is nurtured and we work together to create a lasting legacy.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Structural Technician to join our team in Kendal. We are well known locally for our work in the education, and healthcare sectors including a prestigious student residential scheme in Carlisle, a new school of veterinary medicine in Lancashire and several acute healthcare facilities in Cumbria and Lancashire. We are also very active in the Conservation and Heritage sectors due to our expertise locally, with live projects on Grade 2 and 2* listed buildings across the North West. Our projects can range in value from 1-75+ million.
You will have responsibility for delivering a wide variety of project types, including direct liaison with external parties to establish project BIM requirements and to coordinate modelled information on a day-to-day basis.
You will take a leading role in quality management across all projects and contribute to the continuing advancement of digital delivery at Curtins. You will assist in the development of other technicians and engineers within the team, as well as supporting direct project output.
The Right Fit
Someone who has experience of delivering project work under limited or no supervision, who is skilled in using Revit to visualise building structures for our clients and has a good understanding and experience in applying BIM level 2 standards. Experience in Civil Engineering design and detailing is also very advantageous for the role.
Above all the right fit will be guided by what is right when making decisions, who recognises the contribution of others and shares their successes. Someone who is kind, conscientious and has pride in their work and the legacy our profession leaves for everyone.
