We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and motivated Senior Engineer to join our 40+ team of structural and civil engineering professionals in our Leeds office.
We are looking for someone that can work as part of a team, who enjoys a challenge and problem solving, someone who is passionate about engineering and the built environment.
What you’ll be doing
You will be working to develop engineering design solutions that breathe new life and value into communities. You will be a role model and mentor to people in your team and play a key part in major developments in Leeds and surrounding areas.
You will be working within a highly respected team on a wide range of high-profile, technically demanding and award-winning building projects in Leeds and across Yorkshire. Our office is based in the centre of Leeds and is delivering many of the largest and most high-profile projects in the area. Our live commissions include the £2bn Tetley Brewery redevelopment for Vastint, the hugely successful Wellington Place masterplan for MEPC and the development of City Reach on Kirkstall Road for Clarion Housing, as well as many other high-profile mixed-use city centre developments.
We also work for a number of local healthcare Trusts, such as Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Bradford Teaching Hospitals and York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals on major redevelopment projects on their estates; we are also currently delivering projects for the University of Leeds, the University of York, The University of Sheffield and Teesside University.
What we need from you
- Chartered or nearly chartered with the Institution of Structural Engineers or the Institution of Civil Engineers (Or equivalent)
- Considerable experience of working on a mixed variety of developments with a number of materials
- Experience of using a range of analysis and design software which could include; Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, ETABS, SAFE (or equivalent)
- Be able to clearly articulate their ideas, opinions and thoughts to engineers, architects, contractors and clients, many of whom may not have a technical background.
